A Renaissance Banquet
Celebrate Renaissance France & The Craftsmen Who Built Notre-Dame
Feast like Francis I, the celebrated French king who lured Leonardo de Vinci (and the Mona Lisa!) to France. Cuisine in the court of Francis became increasingly sophisticated with revolutionary developments in brewing and fermentation and the discovery of astonishing new edible plants from the Americas.
Tables were transformed forever.
Join a Renaissance banquet at the historic Julia Ideson Building. You will be transported back in time to the era of knights, jesters, and royalty. Our festivities include traditional music and entertainment, a French cognac and sparkling wine, and a menu created in consultation with Ken Albala, a renowned cultural historian specializing in Renaissance cuisine.
Our event celebrates the craftsmen whose talents helped restore Notre-Dame de Paris.
You will have the opportunity to preview our new exhibit in the Julia Ideson Gallery featuring the work of these craftsmen.
Rebâtir Notre-Dame de Paris will be present to give an update on the latest news of the restoration of the Cathedral.
